When I first saw this colorful gingham dress I immediately loved it! I mean you have gingham, a giant bow and halter top, what’s not to love! Some of my favorite key elements of style pieced into one. The thing is I originally planned to wear it for a brunch session last month. But when I got it in the mail I realized it has warm earthy tones that would transition fabulously into the fall season. So I took a chance and waited a couple of weeks before wearing it.
I think the pattern of the colors vary slightly for each dress. The gingham print and colors on this one happen to be perfect for the time of year. We’ve had very chilly weather lately and I wasn’t sure I’d be able to wear it but as is New England when transitioning into a new season, the temps fluctuate a lot. The day was hot enough for me to enjoy the dress. I couldn’t love it more!Dress | Bag | Wedges
The pattern and colors on this dress is a tad busy so I paired my look with neutral accessories. I’m typically not a fan of hardware in bags but this one was too fabulous to pass. I love my Rebecca Minkoff geo quilted bag. The size is perfect for lugging all of my essentials and the color is a great neutral. I like that I can wear it as a crossbody or as a clutch by removing the strap. It’s a nice option from the totes I tend to carry.
So the countdown begins my friends. We’re a week away from a farewell to summer and hello to fall!
