This past weekend I had the delicious and super fun pleasure of attending a cake event hosted by Foxwoods Resort Casino. Any invite to a pastry shop and you don’t have to ask me twice!
We were so happy to be part of Chef Franck Iglesias’ opening of Cake by Franck. From the moment you walk into the pretty shop you absorb the fantastic aroma of sweets and are quickly beguiled by an array of beautiful edible creations. From classic macaroons to amazing sugar Brioche, from made to order cakes to the fast free Air Franck shipping to anywhere in the U.S!
Chef Franck was an absolute pleasure to meet. He chatted with us about his love for baking and how his creations are an expression of his artistic approach from his french beginnings. As Executive Pastry Chef directing a team of 32 chefs at Foxwoods Resort Casino it was only a matter of time when he would open a spot of his own with divine desserts and specialty showpieces.
Chef Franck also hosted a fantastic cake decorating class showing us techniques for decorating. We were then ushered to a cake decorating contest of which my little girl won for her creation of the ‘Bunny Cake.’ It was a super tough decision for him to make since the cakes created by some of the other attendees were just beyond! We were thrilled to be part of such a fun event!
